This round is paired Fontes Swiss based on pre-teatime (plays through D N N# V#)standings.

Jayne MacKenzie (Eng) is one of the first to report in from her division, happily bringing up a 506-303 win over Bronagh Kenny (IRL). That puts Jayne at least temporarily in second place, with a chance to take over the lead if Joe Caruana (MLT) loses to Charles Micallef (MLT).

Nigel Richards (MYS) faces Helen Gipson (Sco) at Board 1 to see who will continue undefeated. Helen Gipsonizes him in a close game, 431-423, and is now in first place at 5-0 +255, Nigel is in second at 4-1 +909. Nigel's average score per round drops from 520.5 to only 501.0.

Theresa Brousson (MLT) has a high loss of 473-507 to Joanne Craig (AUS).

Harshan Lamabadusuriya (Eng) asked for a Tylenol during his 424-341 victory over David Delicata (MLT). Next round, he doesn't get a Tylenol.

I am continuing to field-test data entry on my iPod, wandering the room collecting scores while players watch the scoreboard (see above) update automatically. It's slower than typing at the keyboard, but much cooler.
