Division A

Nigel Richards (MYS) is still out riding victory laps on his bicycle this round.

Helen Gipson (Sco) played Harshan Lamabadusuriya (Eng) at Board 1. Harshan needed to win the rest of his games to have a chance at second place, but lost this one by a heartbreaking 409-398. He asked for a recount, but TD Amy Byrne correctly ruled that WESPA does not permit this when the initially reported difference is more than ten points. It's just as well - the correct game score was a 13-point difference in Helen's favour. Helen bingoed LOvEVINE and STONeRN to Harshan's GUTSIER.

Joanne Craig (AUS) played Theresa Brousson (MLT) at Board 2. Theresa needed to win this game to have a chance at fourth place, but lost 449-419 and is out of the prize money.

Division B

The Gibsonized Jayne MacKenzie's (Eng) opponent this round is Julie Tate (Sco). Julie beat Jayne 362-361, Jayne's first loss in eight rounds.

Catalin Caba (ROM) lost 459-401 to Sue Ball (Eng) but is still a game ahead of her, 19-12 +595 to 18-13 +806.

One more round to go!
