In this round's annotated game, Mikki Nicholson (Eng) plays John Barker (AUS) in a somewhat one-sided game, bingoing four times John's once. After his second natural bingo, he drew the blank and bingoed, then drew the other blank and bingoed again.

At Board 5, Theresa Brousson (MLT) and Jojo Delia (MLT) played each other in the highest-ranked Maltese game so far today. Both have represented Malta at the World Championship. Theresa won a close game 367-350 and climbs to second place behind Mikki.

Still undefeated are Chinedu Okwelogu (NGA), Cecil Muscat (MLT), Helen Gipson (Sco), Vincent Boyle (Sco), David Delicata (MLT) and Dan Sandu (ROM).

Remarkably, the top ten players in the event are now the top ten seeds, with the addition of Jojo Delia (MLT) in tenth place and the omission of Simon Gillam (Sco) in fifteenth.

Time for tea, coffee and cake!
