Chinedu Okwelogu (NGA), still in first place, now with a two-game lead over Theresa Brousson (MLT) and Mikki Nicholson (Eng), plays Theresa for a second time in the annotated game at Board 1. Mikki plays fourth-place Raymond Tate (Sco) at Board 2. They are followed by four players on 11 wins and five players on 10 wins.

Chinedu has his first loss of the day, losing to Theresa 367-488 and losing his accumulated spread for the day so far. Theresa continues to lead in average points scored; this result should boost her average just a little bit.

Chinedu's loss lets Theresa narrow their gap to one game, and Mikki's 467-320 win over Ray keeps him in third place and drops Ray from fourth to ninth. Pramit Kamath (IND) and Dan Sandu (ROM) win their games against Mohammad Sulaiman (ARE) and Helen Gipson (Sco); they are now only two games behind. Helen, David Delicata (MLT), Vincent Boyle (Sco) and Ray are three games back.
