Round 11.

At the half way point the leader board has remained the same, for the first three places, as Round 9 with Philip Nelkon (Eng), 1st, Jared Robinson (Eng) 2nd , and David Webb (Eng) 3rd - they are all 8-2 in games and only separated by spread. Phil Robertshaw (Eng) is 5th, also with 8-2, Feargal Weatherhead (IRL) is 6th with 7-3, and the highest Maltese player in 7th place is Theresa Brousson (MLT) (nee Camilleri) also with 7-3 games' score.

Over lunch, John Chew continued to multi-task by telling us about some of the development of his software while managing to eat. As a player of some repute as well as a Director of many Tournaments in North America and Canada, he has been well placed to refine the software in order that it simplifies the Director's job while producing a 'wow' factor for the website browser with a wealth of interesting features.

The top table for this round is between Philip Nelkon (Eng) and Jared Robinson (Eng). Philip played his first bonus of the game with ALIEnEE, using the blank. Jared was able to reply with OX on a triple letter to score 50, so level pegging at this early stage. Philip then played TOURIST for 78 and then two plays later he played EMAILING. Jared had to wait a while before he could play INSTATE for 78, but was still trailing on points. After a hard fought game Philip pulled through winning with a score of 541 - 407.
